K1 League 2012 season one has been announced featuring Counter-Strike: Online and will take place from late May until early July in Shanghai, China with 600,000 RMB (~$95,000) in prize money.
The event will feature a total of eight teams, six of whom will hail from China and TyLoo being the first confirmed participant following their two consecutive domestic wins in the past weeks at ECL 2012 and Seagate Challenge.
Final two spots will be handed to top European teams, among the invited are SK, fnatic, Natus Vincere, ESC Gaming, Moscow Five and more. After confirming the possible attendees, the event organizers will decide which two will get to attend season one with all expenses ranging from flights to accommodation and food fully covered.

K1 League is the biggest Counter-Strike: Online tournament in China and they plan on hosting two regular seasons in 2012. CS: Online is based on CS 1.6 and made for the Asian market, based on a micropayment model.
First season is scheduled to begin in late May and run into early July with the winners taking home 100,000 RMB (~$15,800). Second season is expected to finish by October, and the grand finals event of 2012 with even more prize money will be held at the end of the year.
